Our Complaints Procedure
We tell all clients at the outset of their case in the client care letter, that they are entitled to complain about our services to them and to whom they should complain.
If a client expresses dissatisfaction in relation to our services, they can make a face-to-face complaint, telephone, email, or in writing. The telephone is the best way to discuss and try and resolve the issues.
If you are still unsatisfied, then you can make a formal complaint with full details of the complaint in writing to us address it to Maureen Ogbu, Reen Anderson Solicitors, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, WCH 9BB.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 days of receiving it, enclosing a copy of this procedure.
We will investigate the complaint, review the file and speak to the lawyer responsible for your case. We will seek to identify the cause of your complaint and will seek to offer appropriate redress.
We will offer you the opportunity to meet and discuss your complaint and find a resolution within 14 days of sending you the acknowledgment letter. If a meeting is not possible, a detailed written reply to our complaint, including our suggestions for resolving the matter will be sent to you within 21 days of sending you the acknowledgment letter.
On receipt of this, if you still remain dissatisfied, we will arrange a meeting with you to review our decision, if this is not possible, we will send you a written reply within 21 days of you receiving our detailed reply.
If we cannot resolve the complaint after going through our above procedures and you still remain dissatisfied, then you can within 6 months of our final correspondence to you to deal with the matter under our internal complaints procedure, contact the legal ombudsman on PO BOX 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ or www.legalombudsman.org.uk
We will keep a record of all complaints; this will enable us to conduct the annual review of all complaints to verify that our complaints procedure is effective.
Maureen Ogbu, Principal Lawyer is responsible for this annual review.

Consultants, Contractors, and Sub-Contractors shall be contractually required to adhere to the security requirements imposed by the Data Protection Laws.

Data is stored electronically in our secure system and for clients in hard copies too. For non-clients, data is destroyed or deleted from our records after 2 years. For clients, further information is provided on this when they engage our services.

Once a year, we distribute unmarked copies of a questionnaire which all staff or consultants within Reen Anderson Solicitors are invited to complete anonymously if they prefer.
Those forms are returned to the Data Controller who then collates that data and enters the data into a summary page. That summary page is then approved by the director/(s) and then published on the website.
